Hello, as long as I am aware of, there is a number of American checking out my newly and not fully functional website. Here is the information that I am aware of for the FIP treatment in English. Please bear with me if my grammar isn’t great and feel free to email me with your questions.

FIP has been always a nearly 99.9% death rate since it has been discovered. Most symptoms are quite unspecific such as lethargy, fever, not gaining weight as other kittens. Most patients are young from 2 month to 3 years however, there are the occasional older cats will caught FIP like after 3 years old too.

There has been no legal medication to treat cats with FIP yet. Legal means a medication or injection that are approved by the medication department of a country. I believe for who is checking this out, you are definitely worry and looking for a cure on the internet and therefore you are here.

Cut the long story short, the most important massage is if you wish to take the risks, then according to Dr Pederson’s research published would be 4mg/kg and as I am aware of, this is the only published dose until this blog is posted. Neurological cases or really sick cases I personally go double dose which is 8mg/kg once a day until stable then go back to 4mg/kg once a day for 3 month.

Personally I have used this dose and has treated a few patients with FIP. I have successful stories and a sad story. So this still has some death rate with the miracle drug.

Here is the reason which I figured was wrong with the sad story.

  1. The drug is not regulated, that also implied to you could never confirmed if the factory producing the GS441 is actually sterile. The factory itself may also be someone’s home or even as doggy as a backyard toilet….
  2. The GS441 came in a clear solution so even without a label. Well one may never know what content is actually present in the bottle. I sometimes wonder if it is water.
  3. The method to obtain the drug is very interesting and I have no clue if the medication is ever being swapped in between.
  4. There have been rumor of stories that fake GS441 being swapped in between the transportation and has led to death of some FIP cases. Though never been confirmed but I personally did see many sad stories during that suspected rumor period.

To add in my personal sad case, the cat was doing fine with the emergency GS441 we kept in clinic. The policy in my clinic is, we would first used our gs441 to treat the patient in hospital and stabilized the patient while the owner has to organized the gs441 by themselves due to license problem. It will keep as secret between owner and us too. So the inhouse drug is fine as we used it before, cat improved with the inhouse GS441. However, it turned downward after swapping the gs441 obtained by the owner.

Personal experience was cat will normally improved within 3 days, and will turn downward also within 3 days. That sad story, the time frame just made me suspect I am using a unreliable GS441. I will never have the answer. I wish I could do an analysis on the bottle of miracle drug but I cannot find a place which could perform it. Maybe it was the cat just ran out of time before it can response.  Or maybe it was the GS441 from the client. I would never know. So it always came with a risk to be honest.

The client was very sad, she was doing everything she can to save the cat. But we lost. However, we both didn’t regret what we did although we have this sad outcome.

I hope in the close future, someone can finish off the research of the miracle drug GS441 or something even better. Make it legal, make it assessable.

The above has been my personal experience and the only reliable referring material is Dr Pederson’s article. Below will be a link to the article which you can have a look at. If you want to know more about my experience treating FIP, feel free to email me at eyerollinvet@gmail.com
